Location and Transfers
The Amazon Village is located 30km (18.75 miles) from Manaus, on the banks of Puraquequara Lake, upstream Puraquequara River. Because of the acid water pH, mosquitoes and viruses which cause dengue, cholera, yellow fever, etc. may not proliferate in the area.
The transfer from Manaus to the Amazon Village or vice-versa takes about 3 or 2 hrs divided in the following parts:
PART 1: MANAUS/CEASA PORT
by van, microbus or bus (Duration: around 1/2 hrs).
PART 2: CEASA PORT/AMAZON VILLAGE
by regional boat (Duration: around 1/2 hrs) or speed boat
(Duration: around 1/2 hrs hrs) via the Meeting of the Waters phenomenon.
