Attentive hospitality in a rustic and authentic Amazon setting - a once in a lifetime experience
Our family had an amazing and memorable stay at Amazon Village Jungle Lodge; we would totally recommend to anyone interested in experiencing this rich, vital and fascinating ecosystem. The lodge itself is about an hour's boat ride from the Manaus ferry terminal on the Rio Negro, but it feels like a world away.
At the lodge, we were greeted by Antonio and team, who could not have been more warm, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. On our first night, we were the only guests at the lodge and we were a little spoiled by all of the personal attention. But even more impressive, that personal attention never flagged, even when half dozen or more families/groups arrived the next day.
Amazon Village Jungle Lodge
The 4-day, 3-night tour was a great experience from start to finish. Collection from the Hotel was prompt and luggage taken care of during the transfer up river. We had a guide with us - Bibi - who was excellent throughout the four days. A great variety of trips, the food is delicious and the Lodge very well equipped. They could not have done any more to make us welcome. Mosquitos not much of a problem, a bit sticky with humidity but learn from the locals and take it easy. Highly, Highly recommended.
